Today Mike and I finally went back to church as a family.   We were advised to not attend for at least 6 months and knew we needed to get back in the routine as we so need to go and worship.  Well 8 months have pasted and we have attended mass at St. I's twice and it just does not work with Jailyn in the service.  So we attended White Oak Christian Church today and Jailyn went in the nursery all by herself with no tears, no distress, and us leaving her did not phase her at all.  She was so happy to be with other toddlers and to play.  The workers at White Oak were tremendous with her and understood our situation with never leaving her with others she did not know and the attachment and abandonment was not an issue.  Woohoo!!!!  Our happy little girl had a great time and did not want to leave and one of the preteens in the room said she was one of the good ones.  So we have a church where Jailyn can be in a thriving Christian environment with other children and Mike and I attended the contemporary service and enjoyed it being together to worship.  I on the other hand was the emotional one and got teary-eyed as we walked to the sanctuary and she was okay.   My eyes welled up with praise during the songs and knew this is were we needed to be.    It felt like home and Jailyn looked so cute in her little purple dress.  Momma left her baby girl who is so well adjusted and thriving more than we ever dreamed after only 8 months.  We are so blessed and serve an awesome GOD and could have never imagined this plan for us.  My heart is overflowing with joy and blessing as she is growing up.  See her pictures after church in her cute outfit she wore to church.
So looking forward to all the fun she will have in the nursery, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School .....

Our first Valentine's Day!  Mike sent Jailyn and I flowers on Monday and I loved the roses and Jailyn loved the box and we celebrated this morning our first Valentine's Day with Jailyn.

Our Happy Girl!!!!!

Wow here we are almost mid February and time just flies these days.  Jailyn is talking so much and picking up new things every day.  I can't believe she turned 19 months on Saturday and Sunday was our 8 month anniversary with Jailyn.  She is 31 1/2 inches tall and 22 lbs.  She is doing front rolls, into everything and I mean everything and talking up a storm.  She must be speaking Chinese (just kidding) with all the Jibberish she says now and the long conversations we have go on......She very much wants to be in control and wants her way.  She gets mad when she does not get her way.    We have had a nice winter getting on schedule with Gymboree classes 1-3 times a week and she does well at my personal trainer with me too.   She loves visitors and any one to come play with her.  She loves her Baby Einstein videos, Fresh Beat Band and of course her Nihao Kia Lan shows.  We went to the Chinese New Year with the Cincinnati Families with Children from China and loved it and shared the experience with Alyssa her little Chinese girlfriend.  I will post pictures.  She did very well at our annual Super Bowl Party and loved playing with the other kids.  We have just changed her nap schedule to one nap.  She is exhausted when she goes down for her nap now between  2pm-5pm and goes to bed so much better around 9 or 9:30pm.  I will be starting to do more appts again with Mary Kay in March and gearing up to work more.  If need be I can always pull back should we have another round of night terrors every night.  We are down to 1-2 a week now.  It has been a blessing to have the freedom to work very part time as needed to run my business.  Looking forward to Valentine's Day, Easter and Spring with Jailyn.  It was this time last year we were in the final waiting months for her referral.  Boy has life changed so much for the better and would not change a thing with the wait and having Jailyn as our daughter.  So blessed and grateful.
